They named her Sofia after her grandmother Queen Sofia of Spain. She currently is my 19th cousin through the Mendozas of 1530’s Mexico as far as my grandfather states since he’s been doing genealogy for a longer time than myself. Is anyone else related to the Hurtado de Mendoza family? I have checked and they do descend from the Kings of Navarra.
