Hi Pat:

Gonzalez Florida II. Their son, Melchor Gonzalez de Hermosillo married to
Beatriz Gonzalez de Ruvalcaba. Juan Gonzalez de Hermosillo II was my 10th

married to Diego Sanchez-Carranza.)
I have my DNA results posted with GeneTree.
I did find two people that were are in the same haplogroup as I am in and

I hope this helps.

Valle de Guadalupe is a few miles South of Jalostotitlán, and just a few
miles North of Pegueros, which is the town just above San Jose de Bazarte.
I went to Elementary, Junior High and High School in San Jose. I still have
family in Northern Cal. including a brother named Robert Gonzalez, in
Stockton.
Keep in touch.

My MTDNA is A and is posted on Felix site, male Cubillos DNA is from the Balkans(I?) and Rodriguez is Q3, Robles is R1bI. All on Felix site.
Hope to see some matches.
Diversity…and it keeps on with the additions of Swedes, Norwegians and Portuguese(Azoreans) to the Robles line and other Americans of Spanish-Mexican heritage.
Alot of ancient mixing in Espana, Mexico and the US. No superior pure group. Which is wonderful!
Moctezuma was royalty. I am not related, but those who are, are royalty.

We’re everywhere ! ( Gonzalez) I will keep in touch hermano, as soon as I get back my results I’ll let you know what’s what. Robert ~
You’re right Sylvia, what’s amazing is that DNA testing takes us back to the source before cultures as we know them today were formed. It is important to honor our heritage and culture, but equally important, it gives us a broader sense of brother sisterhood with others as well as insight to who we “truly” are. I’m a student of Iberian Mexican history and one thing that always struck me was the wide diversity of cultures that poured their blood into making these countries and their inhabitants. Ahh I’m so jealous of all of you with your DNA tests. As a student with
meager funds, its been something put off by financial pressures 🙁 I can’t
wait til I can afford to do it. It’ll answer some questions I’ve got that
can’t be answered by family history or family trees…and maybe link to some
relatives, possibly some of you. Who knows…

Cole,
Don’t despair, some of us waited many many years for various reasons, someday you will get your chance, after all, your DNA won’t change or spoil, it will remain constant until the day when you can give yourself the gift of DNA. Perhaps you can ask family for a birthday gift donation, rather than an object, a $$$ donation towards your DNA test. I only paid $99.00 for my mt DNA through Gary Felix’s site, Family tree DNA.
Best to you……..Alicia, ……..San Jose, Calif

Hello john
How are you related to SantoToribio? My grandfather is a third cousin to Santo Toribio thrice, through the gutierrez once and through the gonzalez twice. He is a 4th cousin 6 times through the romo and gonzalez.

Hi Robert:
Sorry to say, but no, I am not related to either “Casillas or “Martin” I
belong to the Gonzalez de Hermosillo clan from Jalos. My Grandfather was
Gonzalez Gutierrez , born in “El Cuadrado” near Valle de Guadalupe, and my
Great Grandfather was born in “Los Portales”, near Jalos. My next four
grandfathers were from Santa Ana and the rest from Jalos, all the way back
to Juan Gonzalez de Hermosillo. I am related (3rd cousin) to Santo Toribio
Romo Gonzalez through my Gutierrez line.
I am interested in the “Martin” because my wife’s father, Jose de Jesus
Martinez Villalpando was from Cañadas. His father was Eugenio Martin
Valadez, hijo de Atanacio Martin. Do you have any of them in any of your
charts? I hit a brick wall with Atanacio Martin and haven’t been able to go
beyond him.
I had my Y-DNA analyzed by GeneTree. I belong to Group: E M96 Subgoup
E1b1b1-M35 which is the third largest in Europe. This group originated in
Northern Africa, spread to the Middle East and back to Southern Europe all
the way back to Spain and Portugal. Later this same group crossed from
Northwestern Africa through Gibraltar into Spain. They were Berbers.
My mt-DNA is Group A-2, Native American.
I am very interested in seeing your results, we might be related! I tried
to join the Gary Felix group, but they only accept people who have their DNA
analyzed by them.
Thanks.
PS: Are you in the Los Angeles area?

John,
You and my husband are then cousins, sharing the same Juan Gonzalez de Hermosillo and Ana Gonzalez Florida as your common ancestors. This is my husband’s maternal grandfather Fernando Perez’ line. Of which non of the male members of his gene pool have been YDNA tested.
beside Ana Gonzalez, the only other child I have for Juan and Ana is Catarina Gonzalez de Hermosillo married to Pedro Navarro-Gaitan. I do not have Melchor Gonzalez de Hermosillo listed.
I’ll check out your DNA results on GeneTree tomorrow, as well as the two Gonzalez individuals that you noted that are on Gary Felix’ Database.
Thank you!

I am wondering if we are talking about the same couple. Could you please
check your records for the following dates?
Juan Gonzalez de Hermosillo II. Born 1591 in Jalostotitlán. Died 6 Jan
1666.
Ana Gonzalez Florida II. Born 1594 in Jalostotitlán. Married in 1614 in
Jalostotitlán..
This is the couple from whom I descend.
I do have a Catarina Gonzalez de Hermosillo, but she is married to Capt.
Joseph Muñoz de La Barba. Her parents were:
Diego Alonzo Ramirez de Hermosillo and Luisa Muñoz de Nava.

Did Diego Alonso Ramirez de hermosillo go by Alonso Munoz de Hermosillo in any records?
I have an Andres Munoz de Hermosillo son of Alonso Munos de hermosillo and Luisa de Nava that I am researching.

Hi John,
