My Paternal Family Tree is now uploaded and ready for you to view.

It is entitled FROM MOCTEZUMA to ALDERETE and is very extensive. I hope it can be of use to you in your research. Considering our field of research I suspect I’m related to a whole lot of you.

I, of course, hope to expand the tree and verifying it more completely. That may well be my life’s work.

I have taken a three pronged approach to my ancestry. Oral tradition told me I was descended from Emperor Moctezuma. The paper trail confirmed family tradition. Now I am working to confirm that ancestry thru DNA testing.

Just to clarify, we have put Ernie’s tree into the GEDCOM database. It is NOT in the member genealogy files.

The easiest way to browse his tree is to go to the GEDCOM database, click on SURNAMES and then select “Moctezuma to Alderete” from the pull-down menu labeled “Tree” and clicking the button labeled “Go”. This will create a surname listing of just the individuals in his tree.

You can also limit the surname list to other trees such as “Tlaltenango Families” by selecting the given tree from the pulldown menu, or view all the persons in the database by selecting “All Trees”

An interesting project indeed, trying to find out about Moctezuma’s DNA.

I noticed that Google’s map is showing a wrong location, though. This is easily corrected making the longitude value negative in your personal FTDNA page. Like this:

Longitude: -106.487
