Joesph,
I sent a descendant outline tree from Onate/Zaldivar line. I kind of lump them together. Most of the information is from the marriage investigation of General Diego Ayala and Margarita Zaldivar who was my ancestor. I am also descendant from Margarita’s brother Agustin also through my Saenz-Ancira line.
The Saenz-Ancira married the Ayalas hence I am a 2 time descendant.

Joseph,
One of my intents is to connect my Robles line to Jalisco. I am still stuck in Coahuila. My ancestors originated in Coahuila in Parras. There was a Captain Diego Robles who came in 1585 from CUencame so my relative Vito Alessio Robles. The name DIego has been repetitive in the family but then Diego in general has been a popular name. I am trying to figure if this DIego stayed or was his coming to the area just a coinicident. Records prior to 1620 are scant. Supposedly there is a diary but I don’t know where it is.
John Robles, I hope someday we are able to connect our lines.

Hi there Joseph and Esther ,
I’ve been thinking , the fact that I was able to trace my way back towards Zacatecas just proves to me that if it worked for me than it’s got to work for others . Esther says that Diego landed in Parras , Coahuila and maybe he left some family there or maybe he went to the state of Nuevo Leon like our family Zaldivar did .
What I’m getting at is this , even though our group is focused in the three states , we should not rule out Coahuila , Nuevo Leon , Chihuahua Durango and Tamaulipas .
Our origens’ are in the three states but some of ancestors continued wandering . In the Archivos Historicos de Monterrey list quite a few people that came from Zacatecas , Jalisco and Aguascaliente .
I have met several people here in Monterrey ( mostly from the Mormon church ) that have ancestors from the three states . Some of them have registered into the group . I feel confident that I will also find connections to my other family names ( Garza , Alvarado , Trevino and others ) with the help of this group .
I’m rambling on he he , anyway I will send you whatever info I have on the Saldivars’ and I would love to see it in the archives or files of the members for all to see and use .
Thank you ,
Welester

A while back I decided to see where the surname Corbera/Corvera appeared in
Mexico. Using www.familysearch.org website of the Mormon Church, here’s
what I came up with. This is not to say that all of these individuls are
family members, at this time our only common link is the sharing of a given
surname. When I became a Corbera in 1965, I was told that Corbera was a
rare surname primary from Zacatecas. The listing below reflects the states
of Coahuila; Puebla; Sinoloa and Zacatecas having their fair share of
Corbera/Corvera residents. As Welester pointed out other states in Mexico
should not be “ruled out.” ~~~~~~~~
Coahuila – 93 individuals listed either as Corbera or Corvera dating back to
1813.
Durango – 3 – 1822
Guanajuato – 8 – 1714
Jalisco – 44 – 1807
Michoacan – 2 – 1932
Oaxaca – 8 – 1754
Puebla – 70 – 1804
Queretaro – 4 – 1752
San Luis Potosi – 15 – 1771
Sinoloa – 230 – 1732
Tamaulipas – 1 – 1804
Yucatlan – 1 – 1851
Zacaticas – 65 – 1794
Sonora – 1 – 1783
Nueva Leon – 5 – 1867
Hidalgo – 3 – 1771
Chihuahua – 1 – 1713
Baja California Sur – 4 – 1868
State Unknown – 1 – 1893

No I’m not ruling out other states. but I am limiting the membership to
those that sincerely believe that their roots go back to Jalisco,
Zacatecas, and/or Aguascalientes from one of these other states. As with
Welester and with Gregorio Martinez ( who hasn’t replied to the
confirmation emails yet) and other members in the past I am accepting
individuals into the group on a conditional basis. As long as they
pursue making a connection to Jalisco, Zacatecas, and/or Aguascalientes
they can be members and we’ll revisit the membership requirements from
year to year.
But what I won’t be doing is to open up the group to all estados for
discussion of the genealogy of related to all areas outside of Jalisco,
Zacatecas, and/or Aguascalientes. Limited discussion outside our target
area is already okay but I don’t see that I can continue on in my
current capacity if it is opened up to all the states. . .anyway a
group, and a very good group might I say, already exists for all the
estados de Mexico. I think everyone interested in expanding the research
area should seriously consider membership in Jonathan Walkers MexicanFHR
group, I know I have and a register member. Here is that website
