The de Luna family, an Indian family, that lived in Aguascalientes in the early 1700s, is often named with the title Don or Dona. Does anyone know what the stature of the family was, or why they were referred to as Don or Dona?
As an example, Dn Eugenio de Luna, son of Dn Pasqual de Luna and Da Maria de Salas, married Josepha Manuela (also an indian) on February 1, 1731. Both were from the Pueblo of San Bartholome.
