For those of you with Onate and Saldivar ancestors, here is a link from Zacatecas records to the marriage of Fernando Onate and Madalena Mendoza/Mendoca (it’s written with that funny “c”), where Cristobal Saldivar and Leonor Cortes “su mujer” are mentioned as padrinos. I could not find this record in the Family Search index, therefore I am providing it here. Wish I had time to index! (maybe next year).
