I am earnestly looking for information on the Galvan side of my family.

I am earnestly looking for information on the Galvan side of my family. I’ve been able to locate Gregorio Galvan b.1787 Ascientos, Aquascalientes, married to Juana Rosalia De La Trinidad Sanchez b.1784 and had a son Nestor b.1807. My question is, did his parent/s (Gregorio’s) migrate from Spain or do I just need to start looking else where and where would that be? Any kind of help would be appreciated. I just feel like I’m at a road block.
