Greetings everybody,

Greetings everybody,

I am trying to figure out what pages 598-600 in the ‘Padrones 1772-1773, 1784’ are talking about… It is recording something to do with the ‘curato’ in San Cristobal de la Barranca, Jalisco and is stamped with a sello quarto, un quartillo. My 5th great-grandfather, Dn Bartholome, along with a few others, is named in two of the paragraphs and his signature appears 3 times. I do not know what role he and the others are playing, and I would appreciate if anyone could help me to understand the document.

This link is to page 599 of 879 in the ‘Padrones 1772-1773, 1784’ where he is first mentioned in the second paragraph:

Thank you!

M. Castro
