Hello Everyone, I’ve been doing my research on my grandfather’s Valdez, (Valdes) line. He was born in La Estancia, Tepetongo, but his line comes from Jerez (Los Cuervos). I’ve been able to go back to my 4X gr grandfather and there the records have a very large gap. From 1835 to beyond 1849 no records exist on Family Search. I was wondering if anyone has been successful finding records for this period. Perhaps I’ve missed something.

Thanks for any help anyone can give. It’s particularly frustrating, because I think I know who my 5X gr grandfather is but need some records to confirm.
