There appears to be a consensus that Luisa de Quesada y Mendoza and her sister Maria may be the legitimate daughters of Alonso de Quesada and Juana Bautista Hernandez de Arellano y Mendoza.

There appears to be a consensus that Luisa de Quesada y Mendoza and her sister Maria may be the legitimate daughters of Alonso de Quesada and Juana Bautista Hernandez de Arellano y Mendoza. That said, I’ve yet to locate one solid piece of evidence that confirms the relationship.

Given Luisa’s surname it is easy to assume she is the daughter of Alonso and Juana. Although it certainly seems likely, I’m hoping someone has come across a new source document that confirms the relationship.
