Know what you are looking for and be sure the testing firm has a good reputation. I would recommend those that are interested, to go to their library and get a copy of “The Real Eve” by Stephen Oppenheimer. He provides a comprehensive analysis of the genetic history of “modern man” and his journeys as he populated the world. He includes genetic trees and tables, which if you have some data already may be of some help. Some of the information in the book may surprise you.
