Hello to everyone. I’ve been researching my family tree for years and until now, I had found all of my ancestors within the borders of what is now Jalisco. Just a couple days ago, I found my first ancestors from another state! This is the info I found on them.

My 7th great-grandparents’ names are Franco. Rodriges and Josepha de Aramburo, married on February 1, 1711 in Nochistlan, Zacatecas. The marriage record I found does not mention the parents. I tried to look for matrimonial informations but there is nothing for that year, I believe. I hope that someone researching in Nochistlan has these ancestors or their siblings and may offer a clue as to how to continue with this line.

They had a daughter named Maria Leonor Rodriguez, who married Franco. de Salazar on October, 2, 1732 in Tepatitlan. These are my 6th great grandparents.

Do any of these names sound familiar?

Steve in NC
