Joseph,

That is exactly the book I have (“Padrón parroquial de Aguascalientes,
1770″). I also have a copy of the “padrón parroquial” of 1648. What I’m
looking for is the “Padron de Aguascalientes of 1792” (notice that this
version is not “parroquial” or of religious nature). As far as I know, it
has NOT been published in book form. Also, it should be more complete than
the 1770 version, as it not only includes names and addresses, but place of
origin, age and occupation of persons living in Aguascalientes in 1792.

Bill you are probably already familiar with this info but have a look in
the files–>Books and Articles–>Census Records for Latin America by
Lyman Platt–> http://www.nuestrosranchos.org/node/15262

for some info from Dr. Platt’s book on Latin American Census records.
Look at the Aguas pages 1-4 in two parts for info on the 1792 census.

Thank you very much for the information. According to the “Census Records
for Latin America…” by Lyman D. Platt, the “Padrón de Aguascalientes de
1792″ is at the Archivo General de la Nación in Mexico City. The microfilm
is listed at FamilySearch under Padrones de México, 1752-1865 México.
Dirección General de Estadística. Ramo de Padrones. FHL INTL Film No.
1520345 Vol. 4, 1800, 1792 Vol 5-6 and possibly Film 1520346 1792 Vol. 6-7,
1791 Vol. 8. I will order the first one from Salt Lake City when our local
FHC reopens next week.
