What exactly is a Puesta? Is it just a non-specific place or is it more specific than that? Is it like a small village? Is it considered temporary or permanent? Which of the following might be found in/at a Puesta: houses, stores, streets, fortifications, stockade, inn, tavern, chappel, armory, mansions, plantations, guards, soldiers, garrison, a flag, command center, supply depots … What kind of government would be there? I’m just trying to get my mind around what exactly a puesta is or isn’t (Aguascalientes 1600s-1800s).
