It says “Real y minas del fresnillo”, and it should be the city of Fresnillo, Zacatecas. According to the RAE dictionary, “real de minas” is a town whose district has mines, especially silver mines. There are many towns whose name included the words Real, Real y minas or Real de minas like Guanajuato, Real de catorce, Pachuca, Zacatecas, etc.

Hello, my name is Diana Baca Ragin

I am trying to locate baptismal records or birth records for my Grandmother Aurora Cordero, her mother’s name was Senorina Borrego and father Aurelio Cordero. She had a sister named Ana Rebeca Cordero and brothers Miguel and Aurelio Cordero. She was supposedly born in Guadalajara or Fresnillo Mexico. Birth date is 1989 according to some border crossing information I have located. Other names that appear on siblings baptismal records are for my Great Grandparents Andrea Albasta and Margarita and Fuburio Lopez. It is hard to read so I am not sure I have the spellings correctly. Baptismal Records are in Fresnillo Mexico.

If someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. I have been searching for years through online methods. I have located baptismal records for her siblings but not for her.

I would appreciate any help you may be able to give me.

Thank you,

Diana

Hello Diana,

There are many baptismal records that are missing. There are many that I
have never found. Don’t be surprised if you never find the one that you are
looking for.

It obviously a typo. She meant 1889.
