Is is just me or are there some recent posts missing from the recent posts list? How can it hop from today’s posts to posts a year ago on one page?

Is is just me or are there some recent posts missing from the recent posts list? How can it hop from today’s posts to posts a year ago on one page?
When I click on “My recent posts” there are none there….
Is this a new technical issue?
