Just want to share a find. I’m looking for Castaneda in Jerez, Zac. I came across a Tomas Castanon with parents Gregorio Castanon and Isabel Galvan in Ermita de los Correas, which are the names of my great-grandmother’s parents. On a hunch, I looked up the baptismal record and found all the right names, including grandparents. The priest made a mistake on the paternal last name! I feel like Sherlock Holmes. 🙂

Still haven’t found my great-grandmother Vita Castaneda Galvan, but I’ve found some of her brothers. Time for bed…
