Bill do you know who the FRancisco Macías-Valádez was? He must be related to my Macías-Valádez family of Lagos in the 1600’s. THe appelido was created when Blas de Macías married an Uknown female with Valádez. Records just show as hijo de Blas de Macías, but never mention the mother. -Daniel

You’re right. Francisco Macías Valadez, the son of Nicolás Macías Valadez
and Leonor de Retamosa, was buried 19 September 1658 in Aguascalientes. His
parents wed in Lagos circa 1582. His father, born c. 1557 in Lagos, was the
son of Blas Macías Valadez and an unknown bride. Francisco married Jacinta
de Ortega and had ten legitimate children, all baptized in Aguascalientes:
Juana, Matheo, María, Francisco, Josepha, Margarita, Nicolás, Jacinta,
Alonso and Juan Macías de Ortega. His wife Jacinta de Ortega, born c. 1607,
was buried in Aguascalientes 10 July 1676.

I checked my database and could not find a Diego Macías Valadez married to Toribia Dávila in the late 1700s-1850 time period. Unfortunately, I cannot offer you any help because by that time the Macías Valadez had multiplied and scattered throughout much of Jalisco, Zacatecas and Aguascalientes. Sorry.

Tell you what I can look this marriage tomorrow and transcribe it and send you a scan. -Daniel Really the trick with the Spanish families it to get oyur line at least back to 1730 thats when it usually connects to the trunks.
