I was looking for the children of Pilar who were born in Mexico, and I gave up on the New Family Search and went to the IGI and for some reason in the IGI I landed just by accident on a Jose Pilar Lopez Alvarez baptized 1873 at Nuestra Senora de la Candelaria, Ahualulco, San Luis Potosi, parents Juan Lopez and Jesus Alvarez. I wasn’t even looking for him! It is as if he said, “Here I am!” So I am on my way in really helping my cousin with his maternal side.

Why his death certificate says “Agulurco, Zatecas” is a mystery. I guess the informant just didn’t know where Ahualulco was and just guessed at the state?
