I found the following entries in IGI that appears to be the baptism records for a brothers of Bartolome Delgado, born in 1684 and 1687. I imagine that their parents were married sometime around 1680. There is a Salvador Delgado who was married to a Maria de Contreras and having children around the same time which would lead me to believe that both the Contreras and Delgados were in Pinos. It may be worth ordering the film to see if there is any more information that you can gather from these baptism records.

I would strongly recommend you order this film as it is likely these two individuals were related and that the documents would have extensive genealogical information.
In addition, you should probably order the informacion matrimonial film for Pinos that is likely to have Francisco’s first marriage record around 1680:

It looks like you have many leads, but lots of film reading to do. I also suggest you start entering all of this information into PAF or some other genealogy software to keep it (and the sources) well organized. It will also help you branch out to do some horizontal research to look into some of the materanal lines.
P.S. There was a Delgado in Zacatecas as early as the mid 1500s. Juan Delgado was the encomendero of El Teul, Zacatecas and his descendants were large land owners in the region of Tlaltenango and Tepechitlan around 1600.

I have compiled a booklet on the DELGADOS, but I just go down generation to generation, to my great-grandchildren. (I copied that method from an illustration I saw in the genealogy department at my library).

I was so excited to read your information I forgot to ask some pertinent questions.
Are the films you mention from LDS?
I do realize the amount of time and deciphering you have to do with those films. I ordered one film and it was sent to Santa Barbara and I have to be honest. I did not stay long enough on it. It was not the best film. But I will certainly give it another shot.I am really very
interested in getting to the roots. The rest was sort of easy, tracing the DELGADO that came down to the TEXAS COAST, to TAMAULIPAS, NUEVO LEON and then ZACATECAS.
I found great information in the book FUNDADORES de NUEVO LEON, in our library.
Another question: In the Expediente 99, Informacion matrimonial: Juana Delgado Valenzuela, originaria de la Arjonilla, Obispado de Jaen en los Reinos de Castilla.Where would that be? Spain, or in New Spain?
Also, how did you retrieve this information so fast? Now you can see how “dumb” I am.
