There are several references to Diego de Aguayo (el viejo y el mozo) in GENEALOGIA DE NOCHISTLAN ANTIGUO REINO DE LA NUEVA GALICIA EN EL SIGLO XVII SEGUN SUS ARCHIVOS PARROQUIALES by Jose Luis Vazquez

There are several references to Diego de Aguayo (el viejo y el mozo) in GENEALOGIA DE NOCHISTLAN ANTIGUO REINO DE LA NUEVA GALICIA EN EL SIGLO XVII SEGUN SUS ARCHIVOS PARROQUIALES by Jose Luis Vazquez y Rodriguez de Frias. On cursory review, none of them match what you already know about your ancestor. In my Aguayo research, however, most or all of the Diegos de Aguayo born in the late 16th, 17th, and 18th century stem from Antonio de Aguayo, the conquistador who came to New Spain from Portillo, Spain in 1525. Sorry, I couldn’t be more helpful in your search, but I will continue to watch for your Diego de Aguayo in my research.
