This is great. It’s the second time I find the same common line with two
different Ranchos members. The first time it was my Castañeda line from
Zacatecas and now the Delgadillos from Nochistlan.

It appears that Enrique Legaspi Frias and Florentino (Tino) Corbera share
common ancestry, via Diego Delgadillo married to Petrona de Isla. This is
the same line that linked with Maria Cortes, another NuestrosRanchos member.
Tino’s line continues from Diego and Petrona via their daughter Mariana
Delgadilo bapt. 23 March 1655, Nochistlan, Zacatecas, Mexico, and married to
Francisco Flores de Medrano.

Hi Maria,

This is great! I’m beginning to believe that if one has Nochistlan
ancestry, then a common ancestor will be found within NuestrosRanchos.
We’ll keep looking, need more to have a big fiesta.

The fiesta must be in Nochistlan….I suggest we do it during the “hijo ausente” dia held every summer!

I have a Diego Delgadillo but he was born abt 1661 in Nochistlan, Zacatecas, died 25 Dec 1726, in Jalostotitlán, Jalisco. But I have him married abt 1690 to a Fabiana Ramirez De Mendoza.

I found one child for them named Petronila Delgadillo born about 1698 and married to Juan De Dios Gutierrez de Mendoza 29 January 1714 in Jalostotitlán, Jalisco, Mexico.

Yes I would have to agree. The Nuestros Ranchos site is very deep when
it comes to Alteños. . .Imagine if Steven Hernandez finds time to be an
active member again. Unfortunately he has taken on a new job within the
Educational system and his time has been so absorbed he hasn’t been able
to participate since we made the transition. He did tell me that he did
want to remain a member and will get involved when the time becomes
available whenever that might be.

Meanwhile several of Steven’s Los Altos files are in the
“files”–>”members genealogies” area of the group.

OK fess up who is your Castañeda cousin and from where. give us some
details. Are you related to Helyn’s Castañedas from Tlaltenango?

I’ve got some Castañeda’s from Cuculiten, but I don’t know a lot about them.

Do I need to keep repeating that the time to rejoice is strongly upon us.

Can you imagine if I was amongst you cousins. . .I mean if I get this
happy over the connects you all make imagine how happy I’d be if I was
one of you. I was geared up there for a second with my prima Erlinda in
B.C. but we still need to do a little research to confirm.

happy days are here!!!
