1823. Jalisco, formerly a Province, is elevated to the status of State. The Jalisco of 1823 is considerably larger than the Jalisco of today, including regions that are today in the states of Nayarit, Colima and Zacatecas.
I found this in a historical journal regarding the state of Jalisco
El ano 1823, se eleva Jalisco como estado, siendo anteriormente solo una provincia. El Jalisco de 1823 siendo mas grande de lo que es hoy. Incluia regiones de Nayarit, Colima y Zacatecas.
