On Tuesday past, it was down for quite a while and yesterday it was down for a
while.  In fact, while I was on the website it went down.  It is normally
stable, I guess there were too many of us searching.

The maintenance window at Family Search seemed to take a long time. I discovered I could get to the site through another computer, but not at home. Which seemed odd.

At my home computer, I tried deleting my browsing history, and then was able to get back to the site right away. I am running Mozilla Firefox on a pc with Vista.

Try deleting your browser history, it may solve the problem.

By the way, Family Search is up and running now (8:13 PM, Pacific time).

Thanks everyone! I thought I was losing my mind. It’s been down all week for me, but at work I could access the site. I’m having some difficulty. It seems to lead me to different websites and/or tells me it temporarily down. I’ll try the different suggestions here. Thanks again.
