Genealogy presenters
I’ve done several genealogy presentations–one for our local genealogy society and two for our local library. I enjoyed doing them but the best part was showing people HOW to do their own. I had a computer set up and a big screen, then I went to the Familysearch.org.
I’ve done several genealogy presentations–one for our local genealogy society and two for our local library. I enjoyed doing them but the best part was showing people HOW to do their own. I had a computer set up and a big screen, then I went to the Familysearch.org. After asking my audience a few preliminary questions, such as, “may I have a volunteer?” I asked that volunteer what state in Mexico his grandmother came from. It was funtastic to see people who REALLY knew very little about their families get a sparkle in their eyes when they saw that they CAN find their roots.
Jonathan, thank you for the web site. I just joined. I work crazy hours I hope that I can answer you all that you might require.
