Let’s say you have a PAF file you are unfamiliar with. How would you?:

1) Find specific locations within the file? Say I was hunting for any
individual whose roots are in Jalisco, Zacatecas, and/or Aguascalientes

Let’s say you have a PAF file you are unfamiliar with. How would you?:

1) Find specific locations within the file? Say I was hunting for any
individual whose roots are in Jalisco, Zacatecas, and/or Aguascalientes
just as an example?

2) Find specific individuals?

Joseph,

If I understand your question, you want to know how to identify, in PAF where certain individuals are by the geographical area.

If so, the easiest way, 1) is to click on the print button, 2) choose the list tab, 3) then click on Places sorted alphabetically. Then you can ether print the list or you can preview it on your screen. This report will show you each geographical place in your PAF file, with every event and date of the event that took place in each place.

boy it is right there. thanks much for the help with this. My list of
locations seems to include lists of people but if I scroll down to the
next page I start seeing places and then more people and places mixed
together. maybe I ddin’t enter the information into it correctly to
begin with.

thanks,

joseph
