It´s only today that I find your note from 2008 and hope you’re still active in Nuestros Ranchos. Three of my grandparents were from Jalisco. I’m also interested in Alvarez and Rubalcava. My father’s paternal grandfather was Filemón Alvarez whom we’ve always thought was from Corral del Monte Jalisco, but I have no evidence of this. He got married with Filomena Rubalcava on January 7th 1884, whom according to the file I found in FamilySearch, was born on July 12th 1857 in San Juan de los Lagos. It is also there where they got married. They had four children, one of them my grandfather José Refugio. Could these be people you’re related to?

In my case, I’d like to know more of Filomeno Alvarez. I’m also looking for Marcelino Alvarez who was a much loved doctor in Arandas. I know there’s a street there named after him and I know he’s related to my family but I don’t know how.

Another Alvarez I’m looking for is Salvador Alvarez, he was married with Dolores Camarena Garcia but I don’t know where he was born nor when … nor how I’m related to him. Have you found any of these names in your research?
