Vasquez in San Sebastian
I don’t know which family I am from…yet! So far I have gone back to Josef
Bernardo Rubio married to Ana Marmolejo sometime in the late 1770’s. They
are my gggg-grandparents. I have not found any record of their marriage
only their children’s baptisms in San Diego de Alejandria, Jalisco. Below I
have listed my ancestors that I have found but some I am still waiting on
films to verify.
Ann Rubio Valdez
Jose Vargas Rubio
Lucas Rubio m Josefa Vargas
Emiliano Rubio m Senorina Vasquez
Jose Domingo Rubio m Maria Clemencia Padilla
Gregorio Rubio m Maria Sebastiana
Marques
Josef Bernardo Rubio m Ana
Marmolejo
I seem to be stuck here. Any advice you can give is appreciated.

Ann: Which Rubio family are you from there are Rubio de Monrroy or
Rubio-GOnzales de la Florida?
I descend from Rubio de Monnroy. Diego Rubio and Luisa de Monrroy came from
Valladolid, SPain thats how the compound name was created. I also descend
from the other Rubio’s. I think that both Rubios are related since they both
came from Valladolid.

I found this Bernardo but it might be a stretch. We cant say these is him, we need proof.
I also found out you Ana Marmalejo, ANa is her nickname. On one of the childrens it’s says Josef Bernardo and Manuela Marmalejo. From what I saww on the Marmalejos, they came from Lagos. Theres alot of them in the 1600-1700’s period. -Dániel

I did not have Maria del Carmen. I will order that film. Also, I had not
looked in Lagos. I hope it pans out. Thanks again.

Some of the records for marriages and bauptisms were done in La Union de San Antonio Jalisco in the mid 1800’s, so you might want to check there.
